Universal Life-Safety through Invisible, High-Level Protection
BallisticDefendTM achieves human-centered design (HCD) across all sectors by providing protection that is functionally invisible. By eliminating the psychological distress and institutional aesthetics traditionally associated with bullet-resistant barriers, BallisticDefendTM allows occupants to live, work, and heal without the constant reminder of potential violence.
BallisticDefendTM is multi-ply glass-clad polycarbonate security glazing with glass on the attack-side and abrasion resistant polycarbonate on the safe-side, and is produced in three strength levels that meet UL 752 Levels 1 – 8.
Remember, no glass is bulletproof – but BallisticDefendTM security glazing is tested to meet the full range of UL 752 ballistic levels with a result of no spall; no bullet penetration.
