We understand how important patient comfort is when designing for healthcare environments. Team member, John Clark, explains, “Privacy in design segments such as healthcare, education, and detention are often desirable, but trends are continually moving away from the hardened, interrogation-room style designs of the past. We want to introduce a ‘softer’ look into those environments that improve the well-being of its occupants. Reid Health is a prime example in its usage of a biophilic printed design on the glazing that hides a security room on the opposite side. We were even able to coordinate artwork with the wall-covering manufacturer to create a seamless design from glass to drywall—form and function combined.
