Miami Airport

Custom printed laminated glass for Ghost Palms by Nori Sato at Miami International Airport (MIA).

Overview

The Ghost Palms installation at Miami International Airport (MIA) in Miami, FL, features five large-scale windows that bridge the gap between architectural structure and organic form. McGrory Glass fabricated the laminated glass components using specialized in-house print technology to replicate the translucent imagery of five different palm species, each reaching 24 feet in height. The project is integrated into the international baggage claim area of the South Terminal, where the glass design coordinates with the surrounding terrazzo flooring. This project highlights the skilled fabrication and extensive production capabilities required to integrate specialized architectural glass into a modern infrastructure environment.
