Authentic. Welcoming. Joyful. These are just a few of the words that come to mind when our team thinks about Nancy McKendrick, McGrory’s Administrative Professional, Receptionist, and the “light in the lighthouse” of our East Coast headquarters.

Nancy exemplifies McGrory’s family-focused, customer service-forward, team culture.

“Whatever is asked of her she handles with a smile on her face,” says Marianne Rafter, Human Resources & Operations Manager. “She is also one of the friendliest employees at McGrory, greeting all with a smile, and proactively inquiring and caring about her colleagues. We are lucky to have her.”

Bill Hoy, Chief Financial Officer, agrees. “Nancy is genuine and welcoming, and takes great pride in her work. She also has a wonderful sense of humor. While Nancy has always been an asset to the company, over the past few years she’s grown even more.”

“Nancy is one of the MVP’s of McGrory,” adds Marianne. “She handles phone calls, greets visitors, works alongside myself and Bill in A&P, and does so many other daily tasks that support everyone in the company… the list would be too long to post.”

“Nancy puts the light in the lighthouse,” says James Gulnick, Vice President & Director of Operations. “She beams with enthusiasm as wayward visitors head toward the welcoming front desk. Nancy also keeps us all on the right course internally, with gentle but daily reminders of what needs to get done for the ship to sail forward.”
